Moving on! Carefully now!

The eyelets are finished - couldn't stop, could I?

The threads are cut (without mistakes so far, thank goodness) and I am ready to start the first section of needleweaving. Yvette's instructions in the book are clear.

This is lovely. How scary doing the cutting, looking forward to seeing the needleweaving

This is looking great. Your heart must be in your mouth doing the cutting.

Thank you for the comment on my blog Maggie. I find it hard to work with the precision Hardanger etc requires, so i really admire your work! The biscornu bits especially i find really attractive.

Looking good! Never fear the cutting! It is always fixable if a mistake does happen. (Just ask me how I know!)

It's looking good. I always hate that first thread I have to cut. I have a couple of pieces that I cut wrong but most of them were right and it does make you count and count again.

It is a great piece but we haven't heard from you for a while. Hope everything is OK

This was an auspicious day for me too - it was the day we left for Taiwan!

I looked up Yvette's hardanger at Nordic Needle and I believe I have some of her work. I love the way she finishes some of her outside pieces which I myself haven't done yet, but now I have to...thanks!
